Journey to the Future with New Generation Education Panel

JOURNEY TO THE FUTURE WITH NEW GENERATION EDUCATION PANEL

 The "Journey to the Future with New Generation Education" panel, supported by İSTKA and carried out by Sarıyer District Directorate of National Education, was held on January 4, 2024 at Enka Auditorium at 11:00 with more than 400 international participants. The participants of the event, which was shaped around the theme of "New Generation Education", were protocol members, academics, experts, educators, parents, managers and NGO employees. The event, which started with the speech of Sarıyer District Director of National Education, continued with Project Coordinator Sibel Saygın's Journey to the Future Project Presentation.

The opening speech of the Journey to the Future with New Generation Education Panel was made by Marmara University Atatürk Faculty of Education Dean Prof. Dr. Seyfi Kenan. The panel was moderated by Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Educational Sciences Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşin Kaplan Sayı. In his speech, our Dean touched upon the topics and issues that educators should focus on in the effective use of new technologies in educational processes, especially in ensuring permanent learning and full learning.

In the first part of the event, which was organized under the panelistship of Prof. Dr. Hakan Akçay from Boğaziçi University Faculty of Education, Assoc. Prof. Aşkın Kocabaş from Koç University Faculty of Science, Assoc. Prof. Tuncer Can from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Education, and Assoc. Prof. Nihal Yurtseven from Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Educational Sciences; important topics such as the roles of teachers, the profile of 21st-century students and the developing role of parenting in education, teacher professionalism, raising science-loving students, and designer teacher profiles were discussed. The international dimension of the event, which was presented within the framework of education for the new generation, and its support for ISTKA and education was expanded to eight different countries, and the Journey to the Future Project was presented as a good example. The second part of the event continued with international project presentations and the sharing of good examples that best address the changing educational methods and techniques with new generation education. After the presentations, the event continued in the foyer area, where participants could discuss different funding sources and cooperation. This event contributed to the creation of synergy on new practices and sharing in education.
