A Selection from Academic Artists: “CONTACT” Exhibition Opens

Academic Artists Unite at the Common Ground of “CONTACT”!

The faculty members of the Department of Art Education, Division of Painting Education at Marmara University Atatürk Faculty of Education are coming together with art lovers through an exhibition titled “CONTACT”, opening on February 18, 2025, at the International Association of Plastic Arts (UPSD). Featuring works created in various disciplines, the exhibition brings together the academic and artistic productions of academic artists on a shared platform.

The faculty members invite the audience to directly engage with art through their works in different disciplines presented in the “CONTACT” exhibition at UPSD on February 18.

Bringing together works from diverse fields, the exhibition highlights the artistic identities of 23 academic staff members. Offering an interdisciplinary selection, “CONTACT” reflects the artists’ aesthetic and intellectual pursuits while showcasing the universal language of art.

The exhibition features works by Aslı EKİNCİ, Ayşe ÖZEL, Bahar COŞKUN, Begüm Aylin ÖNDER, Burcu PEHLİVAN, Deniz BOZKURT, Devrim KUNTER, Ebru ARIĞ, Ercan YILMAZ, Evren DAŞDAĞ, H. Avni ÖZTOPÇU, İnci KANARYA, Mert GÜRHAN, Nuran ÖZTÜRK, Selin Yağmur SÖNMEZ, Uğur AKBULUT, Ümit GEZGİN, Ümran BULUT, Vesile AYKAÇ, Yeşim ORHAN, Yıldız YILMAZ KAÇAR, Zeynep ABACI, and Zeynep ÖZTÜRK. The exhibition aims to create connections — first among the artworks themselves, and then between the works and the audience — through the diverse expressive languages of contemporary art.

Art enthusiasts who wish to experience the collective artistic output of the faculty members from Marmara University’s Department of Art Education, Division of Painting Education, can visit the exhibition until February 23, 2025.
