Marmara University Atatürk Faculty of Education's Department of Art and Crafts Teacher Education is hosting a group student exhibition titled "Rota." The exhibition, which opened on March 18, 2024, brings together the concepts of "route" and "education." In this sense, visionary and creative teacher candidates, with a future-oriented perspective, and the educators guiding them are the ones who define this route.

The exhibition consists of works by students from the Department of Art and Crafts Teacher Education’s painting and ceramics workshops. The ceramic works were created by students enrolled in the ceramics courses (both major and elective) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Evren DAŞDAĞ, while the paintings were produced by students and alumni of the Painting 2 major course under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Dr. Melik İSKENDER.

The ceramics selection includes 64 works made up of graduation projects from 2023 and works created during the 2023-2024 Fall semester. The collection features ceramic sculptures, installations, and contemporary box and vase designs. The painting selection brings together 72 works from students, both past and present, who had not taken their pieces from the workshop over the years.

The exhibition was opened with speeches by Department Chair Prof. Fatma Evren DAŞDAĞ and Asst. Prof. Dr. Melik İSKENDER. The opening ceremony was attended by Rector's Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Güssün GÜNEŞ, Atatürk Faculty of Education Vice Deans Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özgür K. Doğan, Dr. Öğr. Üye. Erol Süzük, Faculty Secretary Erkan ÜNLÜ, faculty members, administrative staff, and students. The opening continued with a guided tour of the exhibition, where the participating students explained their works to the guests.

The exhibition can be visited from March 18 to March 29, 2024, at the Corridor Exhibition Hall of the Department of Art and Crafts Teacher Education, Marmara University Atatürk Faculty of Education.
