8th National Chemistry Education Congress (UKEK 2023)

8th National Chemistry Education Congress (UKEK 2023) was organized by the Department of Chemistry Education in cooperation with the Turkish Chemistry Association and Marmara University Atatürk Faculty of Education and was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Filiz Kabapınar. The congress, which aims to enable scientists working in the field of chemistry education to share their innovative studies on a scientific platform and to create cooperation, coordination and social interaction among scientists, brought together participants from various universities between 6-8 September 2023.

At the opening of the congress, Cihangir Tuğsavul, President of the Turkish Chemistry Association, Prof. Dr. Bahattin Yalçın, and our Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Seyfi Kenan made speeches.

At the 8th National Chemistry Education Congress, 39 oral presentations were presented on the themes of chemistry teaching processes, curriculum, skill training, digital resources and literacy specific to different fields. 83 chemistry educators contributed to the congress, which was held with the participation of academics and educators from different universities. In addition, workshops on five different themes were held at the congress in order to contribute to the professional development of chemistry teachers.
